A former professional baseball player in the Florida Marlins organization and Gilroy High School Hall of Fame inductee, Dennis Castro brings over 30 years of elite playing, training, and coaching experience to the diamond. Backed by a professional career and collegiate honors, Dennis began offering private hitting and fielding lessons in 1995, transforming how local athletes analyze and master their game.

Dennis later channeled his passion into a legendary local coaching career. In 2005, he cemented his place in Gilroy, California, history as the first coach to lead a local team to the Little League Softball World Series. In 2021, he made local history again, leading the Gilroy High Baseball team to its first-ever CCS Championship title.

Today, Dennis serves as a private hitting, fielding, and pitching instructor and Development Specialist. He provides premier individual and group lessons at Competitive PROformance in Gilroy, drawing on over three decades of experience. By combining pro-level fundamental expertise with a profound, knowledgeable focus on mental approach, Dennis specializes in transforming players of all ages into disciplined, resilient, and elite performers.
